Architecture | French River Provincial Park Visitor Centre

September 22, 2012

The French River Provincial Park Visitor Centre was designed by Baird Sampson Neuert Architects, and the project was awarded a Governor-General’s Medal in Architecture in 2010.  I am single-handedly awarding it the Coolest Example of Architecture in Canada Prize.  I loved the contrast between the contemporary building and its remote, natural setting. The impromptu turn off the highway was definitely worth it!
