The Crack | Killarney Provincial Park

“The Crack” is a portion of the La Cloche Silhouette Trail. The brave folks who do the entire 78km trail face this on the final stretch of their multi-day hike, though it can also be accessed from a 2km trail from Highway 637. I hiked it from George Lake Campground (which adds 6 km each way–this gives me a bit of cred’ right?), which is to say backwards from the end of the La Cloche trail. Here are some shots of what you see as you make your way up through the narrow passage, and as you look back.

    Similar rock formations in the Ojcow Valley in Poland. Very lovely 🙂
